Last night saw the celebration of Estethica’s fifth birthday, and wow, was it a celebration! London’s most prominent names in the world of ethical fashion arrived in their droves to support our rapidly growing industry. Welcomed with a glass of champagne, the night started with a wander around the live installations created by London Fashion Week’s most recent Estethica exhibitors (including Dr Noki, Junky Styling and The North Circular to name but a few). After being entertained by glamorous knitting grannies and huge blow-up animals, we all settled down to listen to the stunning Livia Firth’s introduction, followed by speeches from the dapper Harold Tillman CBE and Justine Simons’ delivery of the Mayor’s Green Fashion Guide (glad to see Boris is getting in on the old ethical fashion action!) The atmosphere was electric and it just goes to show how much energy and support there is surrounding the growth of ethical fashion. Hopefully by the time the 10th birthday roles around we’ll have ten times the number of supporters!
