I’m going to branch into untapped territory here. A whole world of eco friendly products awaits us, and I’m not talking about ethical clothes. The aim of The Style Saint is to open your mind to the variety of accessible ethical fashion available to us today. But what is the use of having gorgeously soft, gentle organic fibres against your skin if your skin isn’t treated with the same organic love and respect itself?
I have gone through phases of being committed to buying skincare eco friendly products – usually claiming to be organic or at least marketing themselves as a more natural brand. However, for whatever reason, I’ve ended up settling back with the products I’m familiar with already, regardless of how long the list of unpronounceable chemical ingredients goes on for.
Luckily this all changed for me when I attended the ACOFI launch party. I got my first taste of the blogging life as upon departure I was handed a (rather large) goody bag. Once back home I had a good rifle through, and found lots of lovely little Dr Hauschka products beaming up at me. Being the ripe old age of 26, skincare is something I am starting to pay more attention to, but I haven’t yet got to the stage where I’m willing to fork out a fortune on anti-ageing creams etc. But trying these products – oh my god, I can safely say I have found my new, permanent, best skincare friends!
The reason Dr Hauschka is so good for you is because wherever possible, all the herbs and plants that are used are either organic or biodynamically grown. Some ingredients are grown on approved farms or gathered from the wild in environmentally secure areas. The negative impact on both your skin and the environment is minimised. What’s not to love?! Winner of Best Natural Brand at The Sunday Times Beauty Awards 2010, you can find out more about Dr Hauschka here: www.drhauschka.co.uk/home
The reason I’m telling you this now? Dr Hauschka are holding an Easter Egg Hunt on Twitter. I’m such a big kid that if someone even whispers the words Easter egg hunt I virtually wet myself with eggcitement (chortle chortle). However instead of winning Easter eggs, they’re giving away fabulous Dr Hauschka goody packs worth up to £100.
All you have to do is join @LoveHauschka on Twitter. Five eggs will be hidden in and around the Dr.Hauschka website – www.drhauschka.co.uk – so just find the eggs and the prize is yours! Starting on Monday 18th April, hints will be given as to the whereabouts of the eggs. Each day, there will be a different egg with two different hints, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. To be in with a chance to win, gather the hints over the course of the week and then work out where each egg is in time for the Easter Sunday egg hunt. The eggs will not be placed onto the site until then so there’s plenty of time to work things out! Once you’ve worked it out, simply @mention them on Twitter with the name of the egg, the page where it can be found, followed by #DRHEE. For example: @LoveHauschka midnight express www.drhauschka.co.uk/home #DRHEE.
I think this is such an eggcelent competition (really I will stop that now) that it’s worth joining Twitter just to be in with a chance to win! Good luck to you… you’ll have to beat me to it!
